What is Vatoora?
Vatoora is a service for businesses in Egypt that issues, signs and sends electronic invoices and electronic receipts to the Egyptian Tax Authority, follows every document to the authority’s final answer, and screens the invoices your suppliers send you. It works on its own from the dashboard, or connected to the system you already use.
Which businesses need electronic invoices and receipts in Egypt?
The Egyptian Tax Authority sets who is obliged and from when, in stages. Check your own position with the authority or your accountant — we do not give legal advice. If you already issue invoices to businesses, or receipts to customers at a counter, Vatoora covers both.

Invoices and receipts
Do I need my own USB token?
Yes. The signing token and certificate are issued to your company, not to us. Vatoora signs with it on your own PC through the desktop application, and the certificate never leaves your office.
Can I use Vatoora without an ERP?
Yes. Many companies work entirely from the dashboard: type invoices in, or import hundreds of them from a spreadsheet, review, and issue. An ERP is something you can add later without changing how anything is signed or tracked.
Can I cancel an invoice after sending it?
Within the window the tax authority allows, yes, and the remaining time is shown on the invoice. After the window, the correction is made with a credit or debit note instead.
What happens when the internet drops at the shop?
The till keeps selling. Receipts wait at the point of sale and are sent automatically as soon as the connection is back, in order. Head office can see which branch is waiting and how many receipts are still to go.
Received invoices and alerts
What are shell companies, and how does Vatoora protect me?
A shell company exists on paper to issue invoices for goods or services it never supplied. The tax authority publishes the registration numbers it has identified. Vatoora checks every invoice you receive against that list — kept up to date centrally — and against your own private list, and flags anything that matches before it reaches a payment run.
Can Vatoora reject an invoice automatically?
Yes, if you ask it to. Each rule can tell you, ask you to decide, or reject at the authority automatically. A new rule can run in preview first and report what it would have flagged, and automatic rejection pauses itself if it fires too often in one hour.
How do I reject an invoice I did not order?
Open the invoice in the dashboard, choose to reject it, and give the reason. The deadline to reject is shown on the invoice, and you get a reminder before it closes. You can also decline a supplier who tries to cancel an invoice you rely on.
How will I be notified?
Four ways, and you choose per person: inside the dashboard, by e-mail immediately or as a daily summary, as browser notifications even when the dashboard is closed, and on WhatsApp from your company’s own number.
Systems and companies
Does it work with my ERP or point-of-sale system?
Any system that can call an API can be connected: your invoices go out through Vatoora and the status comes back to your system. There is a documented integration guide and a test company to build against before you go live.
Can I manage several companies?
Yes. Accounting firms and groups run every company from one login and switch without logging out. Each company has its own users, roles, branches and points of sale, and its data is kept separate.
Is it in Arabic?
Yes. The dashboard, the notifications and the built-in manual are in Arabic and English, and you can switch at any time.
Why is there a desktop application?
Because your certificate lives on a USB token in your office and should stay there. The small application signs on that PC and keeps the connection open, so nothing about your certificate is ever held anywhere else.
